If I owe you a book, it will be going out this weekend.

I enjoyed the Patricia Briggs Silence Fallen so much, that I had a hard time picking my next book. I didn’t want to let go and move on. That happens sometimes.

Can you name a book that you just didn’t want to walk away from?

This week’s giveaway is the second book about Sarina Bowen’s hockey team, the Brooklyn Bruisers.

Giveaway ends Thursday, February 9th. Open to U.S. residents, 18 years and older.

Thank you to Berkley Romance for this week’s giveaway.

As team captain and enforcer, Patrick O’Doul puts the bruise in the Brooklyn Bruisers. But after years of hard hits, O’Doul is feeling the burn, both physically and mentally. He conceals his pain from his coach and trainers, but when his chronic hip injury becomes too obvious to ignore, they send him for sessions with the team’s massage therapist.

After breaking up with her long-term boyfriend, Ari Bettini is in need of peace of mind. For now, she’s decided to focus on her work: rehabilitating the Bruisers’ MVP. O’Doul is easy on the eyes, but his reaction to her touch is ice cold. Ari is determined to help O’Doul heal, but as the tension between them turns red hot, they both learn that a little TLC does the body good…

That’s a hard question. I have books that I still think about which I think is the same thing – The Education of Sebastian, I loved the This Man series, Undeniable by Madeline Sheehan surprised me – I didn’t think i would like this book, my first MC romance but she grabbed all my emotions and took me on an incredibly decadent, slightly taboo journey. Ah the memories, it’s so much fun to read!!

I love good book hangovers, but it does make it hard to start a new book. My most recent one was from The Little Paris Bookshop by Nina George. That book was lovely and sometimes bittersweet and I found it really hard to pick up a new one once I finished it. I love Sarina Bowen’s books. Her True North trilogy was one that I found hard to walk away from this summer.

I have many books that fit into that category and it probably goes back to my first romance read which was Saving Grace by Julie Garwood. Even when I re-read it, I’m loathe to come to the end of it for the emotions that get me each and every time

We Were the Lucky Ones by Georgia Hunter – the story of the Polish Jewish Kurc family from late 1938 through 1947.
It’s an intense read inspired by the author’s family history.

I think the first major book hangover I ever had was Cora Carmack’s All Lined Up. I don’t think I picked up another book for about a week after that one because I spent all my time thinking about the story, the characters, and how much I loved it. Good thing it has companions!

Thanks for the giveaway! I love Sarina’s hockey books, and I’m dying to get my hands on Hard Hitter!
