Friday Giveaway: The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang

Posted May 11, 2018 by Lucy D in Contests & Giveaways / 9 Comments

Our winner is…Maria M. Congratulations.

Happy Friday and an early Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms.  I hope someone brings you coffee and a book on Sunday morning and you get some quiet time to yourself. 🙂

I mentioned in yesterday’s post how much I enjoyed reading The Kiss Quotient. Stella and Michael were just so perfect together and I just couldn’t get enough of them. Now, when people ask what book I recommend, The Kiss Quotient is topping my list.

I also mentioned that I loved them so much that I didn’t want to share them.  I actually contemplated keeping the physical copy of the book to myself. Buuuttt…since I do have a digital copy already, I decided I would share Michael and Stella with you.

So share with us: If someone came up to you right now and asked What is your favorite book?, what would you tell them?

Leave a comment to be entered. Giveaway ends Thursday, May 17th. Open to U.S. residents, 18 years and older.

Thank you to Berkley for this week’s giveaway.

Stella Lane thinks math is the only thing that unites the universe. She comes up with algorithms to predict customer purchases–a job that has given her more money than she knows what to do with, and way less experience in the dating department than the average thirty-year-old.

It doesn’t help that Stella has Asperger’s and French kissing reminds her of a shark getting its teeth cleaned by pilot fish. Her conclusion: she needs lots of practice–with a professional. Which is why she hires escort Michael Phan. The Vietnamese and Swedish stunner can’t afford to turn down Stella’s offer, and agrees to help her check off all the boxes on her lesson plan–from foreplay to more-than-missionary position…

Before long, Stella not only learns to appreciate his kisses, but to crave all the other things he’s making her feel. Soon, their no-nonsense partnership starts making a strange kind of sense. And the pattern that emerges will convince Stella that love is the best kind of logic

I would tell them that my favorite book is actually a series, The Jamison Valley series by Devney Perry.❤️😊 It’s such an amazing series by a new author I discovered last year. I would tell them that each book (“The Coppersmith Farmhouse”, “The Clover Chapel”, “The Lucky Heart”, “The Outpost” and “The Bitterroot Inn”) can all be read as a standalone. However, I would recommend reading all 5 books. I would also tell them about her other book, “The Birthday List”. She is definitely one of my favorite authors. I would also tell them that I cannot wait to read her upcoming book “Tattered”. 😊❤️
This is a neat giveaway 😊 Shared on Twitter ❤️ This sounds like a great book. 💜 Thank you for the chance. 😊❤️

OMG, that is a really hard question for me. Because I am such an eclectic reader…from Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew to Bronte’s Jane Eyre to J A Jance’s Beaumont series to C Feehan’s everything she writes 😆to Ward’s BDB series. I could go on but why would I bore you with my mini library…aka converted from a walk in closet.😁.

But I have been hearing great reviews regarding this book and would love to read it and add it my collection

I love the Alpha/Omega series by Patricia Briggs although I’m cheating a bit by answering with a series instead of a single book. There are so many good books out there, and I read so much that it’s hard to pick a favorite.

Your review of The Kiss Quotient definitely got it on my wishlist! I have a weakness for socially awkward heroines.

OH GEEZ! I honestly don’t think I could pick just one book or even a series. While there are so many I really, really love more than others, there are none that I would go back and reread making them stand out more.

I can’t pick a favorite book, but I have several favorite series: The Colorado Mountain series and the Rock Chick series by Kristen Ashley, the Elder Races series by Thea Harrison, the Blue Heron series by Kristan Higgins, and the Impossible Bachelors series by Kieran Kramer.

Oh! I know right away what I would say, because I have been saying it every since I read the series many years ago. The books are a series and it is the Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons! She is also on the top of my list of authors to meet. If she was the only author I met I would be happy because the books meant so much to me. I have been waiting anxiously too for any movie news on them. It would be amazing to win this because the Kissing Quotient is my most anticipated release of the year, and Thursday is my birthday! Thanks so much for the chance! Have a beautiful day! And, for all the Mother’s Happy Mother’s Day ♥ mmalavec(at)med(dot)umich(dot)edu
