Tina Folsom – Author of Cloak Warriors and Various Series

Good morning, Tina. Thank you for joining us today to talk about your new Cloak Warrior series.

Tell us a little about yourself. Have you always had the drive to write?

I wrote my first little story when I was thirteen. It was a murder mystery, and it was terrible, just a compilation of all murder mystery books I’d ever read. Even though I’ve always loved writing, it took me a very long time to come back to it after my early attempts.

Do you generally read what you write?

Yes, I love reading paranormal and historical romance. It’s pretty much everything I read. I’m not much into murder mysteries anymore, I just want to read about love. What I like about both paranormal and historical is the world building. That’s something you don’t get in contemporary romance. Contemporary romance doesn’t provide that escape for me that I’m looking for.

What do you like to do when you are not writing or reading?

I love cooking and traveling. My husband and I travel quite a bit since we have family in Europe and try to see them at least once a year.

Let’s talk about your books. I enjoyed your first Cloak Warrior Book, Edge of Passion, but like any first book in a series, it is a little slow in the beginning while we are introduced to the characters. Can you explain to everyone who the Cloak Warriors are and what is their role is in this series?

The Cloak Warriors are an ancient race of immortals with very unique skills: they can make themselves invisible and walk through solid objects. They battle the Demons of Fear and constantly try to prevent them from pulling humans to the dark side. It’s very much about good battling evil, but also about the fact that none of those conflicts are ever truly black and white.

In Edge of Passion, we meet some very interesting Cloak Warriors who assist Aiden in protecting Leila from the Demons, including Hamish with his story of lost love, playboy Manus, and female warrior Enya. Can you tell us who you are planning stories for in the near future?

I hope to write books for each of the warriors I introduced, the next one being Hamish. I think he’s the one the readers have connected most with in book one. All in all I hope to write five books in the series, and in each of them, the villain will of course play a big part as well, particularly in book 5.

I know I have a few of your eBooks in my TBR list, do you have any other series which you are continuing that we should be looking out for?

My Scanguards Vampires series, which already has five books, is by far my bestselling series. It’s about a group of vampires who run a security company in San Francisco. It’s super sexy, but also contains a good dose of humor. Book 6 in the series, Quinn’s Undying Rose, will be out in early September.

I also have a Greek God series, it’s a romantic comedy: Out of Olympus. Two books have been published so far.

And for anybody who likes their paranormal romance combined with historical, I have the Venice Vampyr novella series. Again, super sexy, very hot, set in Venice, Italy.

Thank you so much for talking with us today about your new series. We will be on the look out for more Cloak Warrior stories soon.
