I downloaded this book as I was finishing Book 1. For once, I was so happy to be behind in a series. I would have hated to have to wait. Nevada Baylor hopes that she has seen the last of Connor “Mad” Rogan after the Adam Pierce case but fate has other plans, and […]
Narrator: Renee Raudman
As always, the world building and the characters are phenomenal. I picked up White Hot and Wildfire as soon as I finished with Book 1. I may be late to this party, but I am very happy that because I waited, I have more stories to binge on.
As much as I love this series, after all the excitement of Book 7, this story was almost a let down. Was it still awesome? Hell yeah! Magic Breaks ended with a turning point in Kate and Curran’s lives and some of this story is setting down the new relationship.
[box style=”rounded” border=”full”]If you a fan of the Kate Daniels series, this series will help fill the void between releases. It has magic, shifters and more creative world building. [/box] Rose Drayton lives on the Edge, between the world of the Broken (where people drive cars, shop at Wal-Mart, and magic is a fairy tale) […]
This is the best Kate Daniels books in the series. We have an nemises who is cunning, dangerous and absolutely focused on Kate and we finally have Roland stepping out of the shadows to meet his daughter
Such a great Urban Fantasy series. You get a real feel for the growing loyalties of this groups of characters in this story. Where once Kate was all alone, several of the characters volunteer for this mission simply to protect Kate even knowing they are probably walking into a trap.
[box style=”rounded” border=”full”]Kate Daniels is quickly becoming one of my favorite urban fantasy series. I am back to audiobooks on this series and I do enjoy the narration. [/box] Kate Daniels has resigned from the Order of Merciful Aid, and has used her years of experience as a Merc and from training and working at […]
Gertrude Hunt will be hosting an intergalactic summit between three warring factions and like Caldania, I was looking forward to seeing some action. Book 2 was definitely more exciting than the first book and still an enjoyable story.
This story was certainly not as exciting as a Kate Daniels novel, but it was still a very enjoyable story with its own interesting world building. The very premise of the story opens up the possibility for future stories and characters.
Updated: As I get more into this series, I have gone back to the audiobooks, but I found the world building on top of the obscure legends and myths introduced in these first few books to be too much to focus on for audiobooks. I would recommend reading the first two novels and then switching over.
