Hello, my lovely book friends, and happy Friday! Tomorrow I am off to a blogger conference at the RWA, or Romance Writers Association, which it taking place in New York City. I am hoping to come away with lots and lots of books for my giveaway shelf and maybe even a few signed copies as well.
My plans is to see J.R. Ward, Darynda Jones and Sherrilyn Kenyon, but I fear that stopping to meet any of these ladies will take up most of the book signed time. I remember from the 2011 conference where Sherrilyn Kenyon was signing, the line to meet her was still out the door even after the book signing was over. I think I am going to have see how crazy the lines are for those ladies before I decide where to go. I did want to get my copies of The Beast and Acheron signed but I don’t know if I have it in me to stand on line for hours and miss the opportunity to meet other authors in attendance.
Until I restock my giveaway shelf, I have an eBook copy of The First Rule of Hook Ups by Nina Crespo for you. Just leave a comment to be entered.
Giveaway ends Thursday, August 1st. Open to U.S. residents, 18 years and older.
Someone once told me that there are worst things than being left at the altar. Well, not many, in my experience. That was six months ago, though, and my life has moved on. Heck, I have a new job lined up and I’m leaving town.
But, I can’t deny that my love life kind of sucks.
That’s why I let my friends convince me to join them for Club Escapade’s Breakup Bash. And we might just be disillusioned enough to actually enjoy it. Last time we were here, it was for my bachelorette party. That night, I met one of the dancers – Raphael – and when he flirted with me, I almost forgot I was engaged. And there’s a part of me that never forgot him.
Now, it seems my friends have wandered off and I’m thinking about calling it a night. Until the music begins and I see Raphael, my secret fantasy, on stage. And this time, I’m definitely not engaged
