Happy Friday! So as I mentioned last week, on Saturday I attended a blogger conference at the RWA 2019 which was held in New York City. I learned that I am very old because I am still using my Facebook and Twitter feeds and should be using Pinterest and Instagram. I also should be moving on from a blog to a podcast or youtube video reviews. If only I had the time to figure out how to do all that. I have books to read and many reviews to write.
I was happy to have a chance to meet Darynda Jones, J.R. Ward and Kerrelyn Sparks. I met some new authors: Joanna Shupe, Melonie Johnson and Alisha Rai. I can’t post any pictures since they are downloading in a weird format but I did post some the pictures on Twitter if there are any dinosaurs out there still use it with me. After the conference I went to dinner with my friend and author, Danielle Monsch, and we talked shop. Hehehehe. It was like when you were invited to sit at the adult table for the first time on Thanksgiving. I got to talk about the publishing business with an author. Hehehehehe.
I came home with several bags full of books. They have something called a Goodie Room that you can go into which is full of books and cards with codes for ebooks and audiobooks and I took as many as I could carry. I did end up with several doubles since they had already presented me with a bag full of books when I arrived and I probably should have looked at what was inside first before going crazy in the goodie room.
The speaker at our blogger/librarian breakfast was Alyssa Cole who told stories about her love of libraries and how she thought the library police were coming for her over her overdue books. 🙂 Afterwards, she signed some books and I might have taken the additional copies from the empty seat next to me — but I did it for you!
So this week we have signed copies of two novellas, Can’t Escape Love and Once Ghosted, Twice Shy by Alyssa Cole. I will pick two winners for this giveaway.
Just leave a comment to be entered. Giveaway ends Thursday, August 8th. Open to U.S. residents.
