We are ticking down the last few days until Christmas and Hanukkah. How is everyone holding up? My shopping is done. I am so sick of shopping, even eShopping. It is time to wrap it all up and toss is under the tree to torture the kids.
This year, because I have worked so hard on the diet and exercise part of my life, I am opting out on baking cookies and desserts this Christmas. Even after eight months of work, I have good days where nothing can tempt me and bad days where I would scour the pantry for a stale leftover cookie. I do not trust myself with a houseful of delicious, hot fresh-baked cookies. I have already told my husband to go to Wegman’s and feel free to pay whatever it costs to pick up whatever looks good. It still feels wrong, especially since I like baking and have been collecting recipes all year, but it will give me more time to get the house ready for the billion people who will be showing up the weekend after Christmas.
Everyone please have a yummy cookie for me this Holiday, especially if it accompanies a book and a cup of coffee.
This week’s giveaway is a copy of Blitzed by Alexa Martin.
Just tell us how are you holding up? Are you all ready for the holidays or do you wish you had another weeks to get yourself together?
Giveaway ends Thursday, December 19th. Open to U.S. residents, 18 years and older.
Maxwell has finally met an opponent that he can’t best in this new football romance from the author of Fumbled.
According to Brynn Larson, Maxwell Lewis is more trouble than he’s worth. She doesn’t care if he’s a football god with a rock-hard body that brings most women to their knees. After an encounter that ends poorly, she’s not interested in giving him a second chance. The last thing Brynn expects is for him to turn up at her bar months later, hat in hand. It doesn’t matter if he brings more customers to her business–she’s still not going on a date with him.
Maxwell knows he made a mistake. He’d been waiting to make his move on Brynn since the day he laid eyes on her and he was finally ready to go for it until he screwed up. He wishes he could tell her the truth about what happened that night, but he just can’t. He can’t tell anyone, so he’ll make amends and hope she’ll forgive him.
Brynn’s not like other women, though. Playing for the Mustangs doesn’t impress her and gifts make her scoff. Max will have to bring his A game if he hopes to win her over.
