Happy Friday! I thought I had a football story in honor of this weekend’s Super Bowl but no such luck.
Earlier this week, I posted reviews for two novels that had a trope of enemies to lovers with the plot of joining kingdoms to fight a common enemy. One story worked for me and the other story I didn’t even finish. It is interesting how a basic plot description, once written out, can give you such a different success. This is why I have so many downloads on my eReader. I will read a description and the idea of it catches my attention but not all writers can make good on that promised story.
Such as, there are tons of vampires series out there and while I enjoyed Kerrelyn Sparks’ Love at Stake series, I just have too many problems with J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood to continue with that series. Yet hundred of five star reviews say that my opinion is in the minority.
This week’s giveaway is a cpoy of Maria Vale’s Forever Wolf, and while I have not had a chance to read this series yet, but for those who like shifter stories, many readers are enjoying this series.
Just curious – Can you think of any plot where it worked in one series but failed in another?
Giveaway ends Thursday, February 6th. Open to U.S. residents, 18 years and older.
