Happy Friday! It’s time for feel good Holiday eBooks!
So completely not holiday related, but certainly book related, I was thinking earlier this week how excited I had been that they were remaking Stephen King’s The Stand, which is one of my favorite books (the extended version, of course). And just an aside, Nick was my first book crush. 🙂
They had such a great cast lined up but how in the midst of the world in a real pandemic, they probably shelved this story about a man-made super flu which kills off 99 percent of the world’s population and it will probably never been seen. Well, later that same day, I was looking at Goodreads and there it is, an ad for CBS All Access for The Stand which beings on December 17th.
This is also proof that they not only listen to you on your speakers but they read your mind as well.
So I am pretty excited about this and I will be making my oldest watch with me since I tried to get her to read the novel for quite awhile now.
Now back to the holidays…yay! We decorated the house last weekend, which is very, very early for us, but it was too nice outside not to take the opportunity to get everything set up and even though we won’t be seeing family this year, we are trying to get into the Christmas spirit. Every year I tease my children with Christmas presents in a way they can’t figure out which gifts will be theirs. This year’s torture of my children will include raffle tickets which I found at the dollar store. Instead of name tags, the gifts each have a raffle ticket taped on and I have the corresponding “winning tickets” set aside in piles for them. On Christmas morning, they will have to wait for me to call out their numbers in order to claim their gifts. And since there won’t be any White Elephant game with the family, I have turned all of their stocking gifts into a raffle where they must earn tickets and they will get to turn in their earned raffle tickets to pick gifts from a pile which range from a dollar store art projects to t-shirts to gift cards. The youngest is already calling me the devil.
I am so looking forward to Christmas. Hehehehe. If that doesn’t get you in the holiday mood, maybe this week’s sweet holiday romance can do it. This week’s giveaway is for a U.S. Kindle copy of One Wish in Manhattan.
As always, just leave a comment to be entered in the giveaway.
Giveaway ends Thursday, December 10th.
