It’s October and finally time for a new giveaway!!!
Hey, my Book Besties! I’ve missed you. I feel like we don’t talk anymore. đ
I just had one last shore weekend with my Mom this time. Too much rain and not enough beach, but we had fun and a trip to Atlantic City netted Mom a small win. Sweet!
I have some fun stories which are perfect for a Halloween giveaway–featuring witches and ghosts.
There is still time before the end of the year for some awesome new books. I am looking forward to Bloodguard by Cecy Robson which finally comes out in about two weeks. It has been pushed off a few times already but seems to still be listed at October 22nd. There is a new Audible Original short story by Ali Hazelwood which I stumbled upon called Two Can Play. I also have the next story in the Laurel Snow series, You Can Kill.
Anyone read anything awesome they want to share? Anything you are looking forward to?
Just leave a comment to be entered.
Giveaway is for paperback copies and is open to U.S. residents only. Giveaway ends Thursday, October 31st.
Haunted Ever After:Â Small Florida coastal towns often find themselves scrambling for the tourism dollars that the Orlando theme parks leave behind. And within the town limits of Boneyard Key, the residents decided long ago to lean into its ghostliness. Nick Royer, owner of the Hallowed Grounds coffee shop, embraces the ghost tourism that keeps the local economy afloat, as well as his spectral roommate. At least he doesnât have to run air-conditioning.
Cassie Rutherford possibly overreacted to all her friends getting married and having kids by leaving Orlando and buying a flipped historic cottage in Boneyard Key. Though thereâs something unusual with her new home (her laptop wonât charge in any outlets, and the poetry magnets on her fridge definitely didnât read âWRONGâ and âMY HOUSEâ when she put them up), sheâs charmed by the colorful history surrounding her. And she’s catching a certain vibe from the grumpy coffee shop owner whenever he slips her a free slice of banana bread along with her coffee order.
As Nick takes her on a ghost tour, sharing town gossip that tourists don’t get to hear, and they spend nights side-by-side looking into the former owners of her haunted cottage, their connection solidifies into something very real and enticing. But Cassie’s worried sheâs in too deep with this whole (haunted) home ownership thing⌠and Nick’s afraid to get too close in case Cassie gets scared away for good.
A Demon’s Guide to Wooing a Witch:
Calladia Cunnington curses the day she met Astaroth the demon, but when he shows up memoryless, why does she find him so helpless . . . and sort of hot?
Calladia Cunnington knows she’s rough around the edges, despite being the heir to one of small-town Glimmer Falls’ founding witch families. While her gym obsession is a great outlet for her anxieties and anger, her hot temper still gets the best of her and manifests in bar brawls. When Calladia saves someone from a demon attack one night, though, she’s happy to put her magic and rage to good use . . . until she realizes the man she saved is none other than Astaroth, the ruthless demon who orchestrated a soul bargain on her best friend.
Astaroth is a legendary soul bargainer and one of the nine members of the demon high council–except he can’t remember any of this. Suffering from amnesia after being banished to the mortal plane, Astaroth doesn’t know why a demon named Moloch is after him, nor why the muscular, angry, hot-in-a-terrifying-way witch who saved him hates him so much.
Unable to leave anyone in such a vulnerable state–even the most despicable demon–Calladia grudgingly decides to help him. (Besides, punching an amnesiac would be in poor taste.) The two set out on an uneasy road trip to find the witch who might be able to restore Astaroth’s memory so they can learn how to defeat Moloch. Calladia vows that once Astaroth is cured, she’ll kick his ass, but the more time she spends with the snarky yet utterly charming demon, the more she realizes she likes this new, improved Astaroth . . . and maybe she doesn’t want him to recover his memories, after all.
Lightning In Her Hands:
Giftedâor cursedâwith the power to influence the weather, one woman must embrace her wild heart in the next electric romance from the author of Witch of Wild Things.
Teal Flores is desperate for two thingsâcontrol over her gift of weather, and a date to her exâs wedding. The first isnât possible until she finds her long-lost mother, but the second has a very handsome last-ditch solution: Carter Velasquez.
Carter needs Teal too. His chance at receiving an inheritance is dependent on him being married by age thirty (blame his traditional Cuban grandmother), so who better to pose as his wife than Teal? But fake marriage and cohabitation prove tricky when mutual attraction charges the atmosphereâquite literally for Teal, whose volatile emotions cause lightning strikes.
Together, Teal and Carter embark on a quest to find her mother and the answers sheâs searching for. But along the way, theyâll discover something even better: a love that can weather any storm.
Here’s wishing you a wonderful season
