I am so excited to be talking today with Dianne Duvall about her new spinoff series, The Aldebarian Alliance, which begins with The Lasaran.

Hi, Lucy! Thanks so much for helping me celebrate the launch of my new series. 🙂

I love the twist of this spinoff series. Will other stories be taking us to a galaxy far, far away?

So glad you like it! I’m very excited about it. And other stories will definitely take us far, far away. I’m already having so much fun with this series and am well into writing Book 2. I can’t wait to hear what you think of it.

Like our beloved Immortals, will the newcomers have a variety of abilities?

Yes . . . and you know how much fun those abilities can be. 😉 Since the new series revolves around the entire Aldebarian Alliance, the heroes will hail from multiple planets and have a variety of backgrounds and personalities. All, of course, will adore strong women the way my Immortal Guardians and The Gifted Ones heroes do.

Lisa sounds like a gifted one. How will finding romance with a non-Immortal (non-transformation?) affect her abilities?

Lisa is indeed a gifted one, which I think makes it perfect that she falls in love with Taelon, who was born with special gifts of his own. Those gifts actually bring them together and give them common ground despite their vastly different histories. Lisa’s gift will also help her fit right in with the rest of the members of the Aldebarian Alliance. 🙂

Are we ever going to see you in the wild? Any plans for you to leave David’s basement to meet the fans?

I don’t know. I’m having an awful lot of fun in David’s basement. 😉 But I have been thinking more and more of venturing out, so I can definitely foresee some forays into the wild in my future.
