Today is the day we celebrate the magical rat that can grant us an early Spring.
Last night I snuck off to go see the new movie Argylle. The movie stars Bryce Dallas Howard as a writer whose spy novels are cutting too close to the truth and Sam Rockwell is sent in to protect her. I almost didn’t go because I read some reviews disparaging the movie. There were notes that it didn’t make sense and comments about the CGI effects, etc. I found the movie to be entertaining. I was not confused on the plot. There were some over the top, absolutely ridiculous fight scenes but it wasn’t meant to be a serious James Bond thriller either. And those bad CGI effects were when we were seeing scenes from Elly’s novel being played out. This is what I always find interesting about book reviews–how someone can love a novel and someone else simply not. There is no right or wrong response, just whether it entertains you.
When I came home I scoured my shelves for a similar genre for our giveaway but alas, no such novel could be found in paperback, but I do have a Kindle copy of Hidden, Book 1 of my favorite Deep Ops team. While it isn’t spies, we do have Malcolm going undercover and we do have fights, so close enough.
Just leave a comment to be entered.
Giveaway is for a US Kindle copy. Giveaway ends Thursday, February 8th.
Hide. That’s all Pippa can do to escape the terror chasing her. But now that she’s off the grid in a safe house, she finds plenty of interesting things to watch through the window. Like her new neighbor, with his startling green eyes, killer smile, and sexy bad-boy tattoo . . .
Run. Malcolm West is fleeing the hell he unleashed in his last assignment as an undercover cop. A backwoods bungalow sounds like the perfect place to start over. Until he discovers he’s been set up . . .
Fight. Someone’s gone to a lot of trouble to bring them together. No matter how much he resents that, and his own driving needs, Malcolm will have to dig deep and let loose the banished killer inside himself, or Pippa’s fears could come true faster than the flip of a bolt in a lock . . .
Oooh this sounds good! Thanks for the chance to win a copy!
Omg I absolutely love Henry Cavell and Rebecca Zanetti. I just read one of her books last week.
