This is one of my favorite non-romance series and I was so excited that Anne Bishop took us back to Lake Silence.
I just love the creative world-building in The Others/The World of Others series. While it is the same series, Anne Bishop drops us into a new world featuring the Town of Bennett which is so very different from the Lakeside Community we have come to know and love.
Anne Bishop created and destroyed her worlds in The Others series. In Etched in Bone, we see what comes next.
Things are heating up as the terre indigene decide they have had enough of the Human First and Last movement. It is time for the clever meat to be reminded of their place in the food chain.
Such great world building in this series. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys urban fantasy and paranormal novels.

I would highly recommend giving Anne Bishop and her The Others series a try. Such fascinating world building, appealing characters and just a hint of romance to spice it up.
I was drawn in from the opening scene. While this book is set in the same world building as the Others series, this is the book one in a spinoff.
