Audiobook Review: Shadows in Death by J.D. Robb
Another great investigation. I think N.R. has been holding out on us.

I was looking for a space adventure and Polaris Rising has everything I wanted.
My big complaint in Book 1 was that I had been looking for a scifi adventure and most of book 1 took place on one planet focusing on the romance between Tess and Shade. Well, Book 2 takes off into the galaxy with all thrusters on full.
Dianne Duvall once again weaves her magic giving us a tale filled with excitement, romance and introducing us to new friends in a galaxy far away.
Just when I was ready to lament the downfall of my favorite character, Dallas is back on her game and kicking ass once again.
Nightchaser wasn’t really the space adventure I was looking for, but it was a good romance and set us up for further stories. It doesn’t end on a cliffhanger, but it does end at the start of what I presume will be the big adventure.
We are up to 47 books in the series and various short-stories. With that said, they can’t all be winners. This one didn’t give us much in characters or in great investigation. Hopefully she isn’t saving everything up for Book 50.
Eve and Roarke are always a favorite.
Book 2 lacks a bit of the excitement of the first book, but is big on suspense.
This was an enjoyable military/Scifi. I am looking forward to checking out the rest of the series.
