I was asked to be part of the blog tour for Book 2, Fighting Shadows, and the story intrigued me so I agreed. When I looked into the series, I just had to start with Book 1, Fighting Silence. I was overwhelmed by the story of love and family, and their struggle to keep this family together.

A great story with fabulous characters. I have already downloaded Book 1 from the series so I can read Emmie and Slater’s story.
This was a sweet romance and a very quick read. It reminded me a bit of the movie Leap Year with Amy Adams.

I was assigned this book for review and needed to read the complete story to give a review for another website otherwise I would have tossed it out the nearest window. Finishing this book was painful and I was so happy when it was finally over.
I absolutely loved this story. The characters were fabulous and the story flowed so well. You could feel the click of their connection from the first text messages and the tight friendship which grows between them. This will be going right next to The Hook Up on my Go-To Book list.
Rebecca Zanetti’s new series creates a new exciting story with new characters and yet includes the comfort of old characters and blends in some open storylines from her Dark Protectors series. It is a perfect blend of old and new.
I am sure that I am not being fair to this story since a search of Goodreads show me in the minority, but I couldn’t get passed the beginning of this story. It wasn’t the womanizing rock star that was the problem, it was the hypocritical heroine.
