from All He Wants For Christmas

Everyone in town thinks that Jemma White is as sweet as the delicious treats she makes at her chocolate shop—but they’re wrong. Jemma is ready to let her wild side out, and she’s just found the perfect man to make all of her fantasies come true. Grayson Cole is a too-sexy-to-be-true stranger who has escaped to Holly for the holidays. He is her perfect temptation, and Jemma can’t wait to steam up the cold winter nights with him. But when danger from Grayson’s past follows him to town, she realizes that the man she is falling for has been keeping some very dark secrets…secrets that may just get them both killed.

Cynthia Eden is always wonderful for dropping your right into the story and grabbing your attention.

Jemma owns the chocolate story in a small town called Holly which has a year-round Christmas theme to the town.   As she was closing up on night, in walks the most gorgeous man she has even seen. What she doesn’t know is that Grayson Cole is a spy looking for a quiet place to take a break.

Suddenly, Jemma has a stalker and she and Grayson first need to figure out if someone is trying to hurt Jemma or Gray.

This short story was previously published in a box set called “All He Wants for Christmas” under the name The Spy Who Came for Christmas.

Even though this is a short story, like most Cynthia Eden novels, she gets right to the story and doesn’t waste time dragging out a set up.  She fills you in as you go and easily keeps your attention while doing that.

For a short story, this gives a lot of bang for the buck and while it isn’t overly Christmasy, the Christmas-themed town at Christmas-time takes care of that.  We have romance, skating, Santa Claus, sexy chocolate orgasms and plenty of intrigue.  You certainly get a lot in only 88 pages.
