Review: Moonlight and Whiskey by Tricia Lynne
A great debut novel by Tricia Lynne. Great characters, some plot issues but a good read.

I like the O’Brien family. It is an interesting group of characters. This series is linked to her other contemporary series, Shattered Past. Just like Shattered Past, this first book features an abusive authority figure.
I love the idea that Cecy Robson has switched from Celia to Taran in her narrative of the series. I am frustrated that she has taken a step back in time since we left Taran injured and floundering with her powers and self-esteem. Now it might take books and books before we start to unravel how she deals with her injury and all that comes with it.
This is the final book of Nightwalker/World of Nightwalker series might have been about bringing both worlds of Nightwalkers together and destroying the god, Apep, before he enslaves the human race, but I enjoyed the enjoyed the romance between the most hated Bodywalker and the half-wraith, Vieve, the most.
This is one of those books that called to me when I saw it. What I didn’t realize it was saying was “Save yourself. Run away!” I was so intrigued by this one, that I jumped it up my list. Unfortunately, I was horribly disappointed.
This is the last book (for now) from Celia’s POV and author Cecy Robson doesn’t send her off with a party. Evil is still chasing after Celia in all its forms and kicking her butt at every turn. Can Celia hold out long enough to survive and finally get her happily ever after?
The excitement never ends for Celia Wird, and by excitement I mean attempts to kill her. In this story, even friends become enemies. With no one at her back, she will still risk everything to get back the one friend she still has in the world and to protect the man she loves but can’t have.
A week after I finished this story, I am still not sure how I feel about it. I was definitely intrigued by the characters and the story line, but I haven’t made up my mind yet how much I liked the characters and what my interest would be to read any other books in the […]
