Review: Brighter Than The Sun by Darynda Jones
Although this was an enjoyable peek into the mind of Reyes, and it will be gobbled up by all the Darynda Jones Fans, it lacked any true insight into the soul of the son of Satan.

Okay. Okay. Now I see what everyone is going on and on about. Like a kid hiding under the blankets with a flashlight, I snuck this one onto my overburdened TBR list and raced through it. This series definitely needs to be read, not listened to by audiobook!
How can I hate a book that features four of my favorite authors? Sorry, I can’t. When I saw my first promo for this anthology, I knew it was a must have.
Updated: As I get more into this series, I have gone back to the audiobooks, but I found the world building on top of the obscure legends and myths introduced in these first few books to be too much to focus on for audiobooks. I would recommend reading the first two novels and then switching over.
Updated: You should read the first two books and you can pick up audiobook again after you become more familiar with the world building and the characters.
The Guild Hunter series is another of my favorite series. Naasir is one of those special characters that make you cheer when he shows up. His behavior is odd but always interesting and so far, keeps you guessing why he is so different. This story was very exciting and I’m happy that he was given a HEA, but he is not your typical romance hero.
[box style=”rounded” border=”full”]This was an easy-read and more lighthearted Urban Fantasy. Although I wouldn’t say that you need to drop everything and grab a copy, it was an interesting story and it kept my attention. It is the first of a new series, but I found the spin-off story which is referenced in this book. […]
The grim reaper and the son of Satan are having a baby. This book is the beginning of big changes to the series. Although I truly love the series, I did grumble a bit about the ending. I don’t know where the series will be going in the future novels, but I can’t wait to see what’s next.
If I haven’t convinced you to give this series a try by now, then I don’t know what to do with you. This series is funny and exciting with delightful characters. If paranormal is not your thing, I understand, but if you like a good paranormal romance or urban fantasy, what are you waiting for?
