I couldn’t be more disappointed with this book. The description intrigued me as something new and interesting but the story wasn’t cohesive at all. Trying to finish it was torture and I barely flipped through the epilogue. I am still left with unanswered questions.

While Beth might lack the magical abilities that we saw in Alyssa in A Sorceress of His Own, there is nothing more entertaining then watching this modern woman working her own magic in this male dominated world of the thirteenth century.

As much as I love this series, after all the excitement of Book 7, this story was almost a let down. Was it still awesome? Hell yeah! Magic Breaks ended with a turning point in Kate and Curran’s lives and some of this story is setting down the new relationship.
