Review: Gone Too Deep by Katie Ruggle
Another book on camping to give me nightmares, but if I had to take a hike into the mountains and snuggle up for warmth, I would want my own George to keep me company.

[box style=”rounded” border=”full”]Sara Humphreys succeeds in writing romantic suspense where others have failed. She strikes a perfect balance of suspense, excitement and romance and kept me guessing until the final reveal.[/box] New York City and murder become the backdrop for Sara Humphrey’s latest novel in the McGuire Brothers series featuring NYC Police Officer Ronan McGuire and […]
I am enjoying Katie Ruggle’s Search and Rescue series and I am looking forward to more. There are some great characters and a real family feeling to this small town rescuers. The author does a great job cranking up the threats and tension. I was disappointed that there was some similarity to the ending of both this book and the prior book and I hope that doesn’t become a thing in this series or the stories will become predictable.
Katie Ruggle’s debut novel is exciting and sweet. It kept me up late into the night reading. I held on to an ARC offer for the next book, Fan the Flames, waiting to see what I thought of this one and I ran to my computer to download it even before I was halfway finished.
This is a case of don’t judge a series by it’s free novella. If I didn’t already have a copy of the first book, I might have stopped right here and missed out. It’s free. Grab a copy, but don’t let this so-so novella stop you from reading more.
This was a quick but enjoyable novella. It also proves that maybe I was too quick to judge an author over one story.
In this latest novel, I was not enamored with the romance between Trixie and Dakota, but I did enjoy the introduction the gargoyles and the treasure hunt to find their missing gold. I also liked the realization that we are too trusting and prone to believe what we are told by those we hold dear.

Brave the Heat is a sweet romance which focuses on getting past the fears of the past so that you can grab hold of the future […]
I got tired of Alice’s naive girlish nonsense right away. Her decision to seduce Logan was completely selfish and not thought out. She was self-centered and reminded me of a more likable Lydia Bennett (Pride and Prejudice). She is playful and sweet. It was nice that she engaged Logan and was able to draw him out of his solitary life. She is too young and inexperienced to take into account the consequences that sleeping with Logan would bring for both her and Logan.
[box style=”rounded” border=”full”]This is definitely one of my favorite of the series. The attraction between Killian and Sadie is apparent to everyone around them. Even the fact that she is a vampire and he is a werewolf prince and heir who needs to mate and produce children only acts as a thin barrier separating […]
