This second book of the series definitely picks up its pace and has a more interesting plot. It is definitely an improvement over Book 1.
A perfect example of why we love the In Death series; murder, solid investigation, romance and Lt. Eve Dallas doing what she does best, finding justice for the dead.
I like Dina and Sean in the Innkeeper series, but they are seriously upstaged by big sister Maud and Arland, and of course, little Helen.
Why does one adventure work and another doesn’t?
Katie Ruggle keeps getting better and better. Risk It All is part crime drama, part survival adventure and all excitement.

Understanding that this is the first book in a series, the set up of took a lot of time and was a bit draggy. On the plus side, the Helen Harper story was actually narrated with a British accent.
