Review: Midnight Target by Elle Kennedy
Make sure you will be able to finish this in a day. There is so much action and danger you are not going to be able to put this down and actually go to sleep.

Great story. This series is getting more exciting. The tension and the romance worked well in this threesome. This is the third book of Elle Kennedy’s dystopian series, Outlaws and the action has kicked up. Claimed (Book 1) was our introduction to this new society, and Addicted (Book 2) started giving us more in depth […]
Elle Kennedy’s again puts a titillating twist on dystopian with her Outlaws series.
I really enjoy this series. I was a little put off at the beginning by how close the storyline reflected another book that I read, which is going to happen now and again when you read the same type of story. After the start, this one did go off in its own direction. Derek isn’t a character who is going to be overly romantic, but there was plenty of action to balance that out.

Elle Kennedy’s incredible character development shines through that even in a world trying to survive after the bombs have dropped, you wouldn’t mind spending time with these outlaws. Sean Reilly thought he and his twin brother, Oliver, could walk away from their old life, but his old boss is holding his brother hostage, unless Sean will do one more job for him; and his boss’s rival, is literally holding a gun the Bailey’s head unless Sean betrays the man he knew all his life. Sean can’t choose between his twin and the woman he loves. He’s going to have to come up with something quick if he hopes to get them all out of there alive.
This is the first book of the KGI series, but thankfully, not the first book that I read from that series. I found Abby to be unlikable and Kane to be unremarkable. Even knowing the characters as I do now, none stood our as interesting in this first story. For the first time I will say that if I had started here, I would not be following this series.
This book was recommended to me and as a fan of Elle Kennedy’s Killer Instinct series, I was happy to give it a try. It was an enjoyable new adult story, but it took me awhile to come to like these characters. This is not my favorite new adult book but still much better than many of the standard tropes on the new adult shelf.
[box style=”rounded” border=”full”]This series has taken over the Maya Banks KGI series as my favorite Action Romance. I was looking forward to this book in particular since Morgan and Noelle have such a volatile relationship that I had to know the history behind it. Great action, sad background.
