Review: Smoke Bitten by Patricia Briggs
One of the best Urban Fantasy series. Love these characters. Must do a series re-read soon.

If you have to break the hearts of fans and release a final chapter, this is the way to do it. Magic Triumphs has mystery, tension, humor, action, enemies and friends working together for the greater good and some backstabbing as well, and let’s not forget the most adorable toddler you have ever met. Ilona […]
I was drawn in from the opening scene. While this book is set in the same world building as the Others series, this is the book one in a spinoff.
I love Patricia Brigg’s Alpha & Omega series even more than her Mercy Thompson series. I just love the dynamic of Charles and Anna. That’s why I was a bit disappointed in Burn Bright since I felt I didn’t get enough of Charles-and-Anna-time as a chunk of the story splits up their time together. I had to do an immediate re-read to that I could appreciate the rest of the story.
Spoiler Alert. If you are not up on the series, come back and discuss with us later! [box style=”rounded” border=”full”]Another exciting Kate Daniels story. Well worth the wait.[/box] Kate and the former Beast Lord Curran Lennart are finally making their relationship official. But there are some steep obstacles standing in the way of their walk […]
As much as I love this series, after all the excitement of Book 7, this story was almost a let down. Was it still awesome? Hell yeah! Magic Breaks ended with a turning point in Kate and Curran’s lives and some of this story is setting down the new relationship.
Mercy has been dragged into the middle of every supernatural problem and this time it is Mercy that drags the pack into the middle of the fae/human standoff.
A very exciting story. Very powerful forces are finding their way to Atlanta which have the power to bring plagues and make shifters crazy, especially male shifters. Kate will need to fight this danger alone if she wants to protect all her shifter friends. Meanwhile, sexual tensions and hurt feelings between Curran will peak when misunderstandings lead to make up sex.
Okay. Okay. Now I see what everyone is going on and on about. Like a kid hiding under the blankets with a flashlight, I snuck this one onto my overburdened TBR list and raced through it. This series definitely needs to be read, not listened to by audiobook!
Updated: As I get more into this series, I have gone back to the audiobooks, but I found the world building on top of the obscure legends and myths introduced in these first few books to be too much to focus on for audiobooks. I would recommend reading the first two novels and then switching over.
