This was an interesting premise for a fantasy series and had some cute references but as it continues, it also runs out of steam. The first book is the best one of the three out so far.
An enjoyable conclusion to a slow starting series.
This second book of the series definitely picks up its pace and has a more interesting plot. It is definitely an improvement over Book 1.
A perfect example of why we love the In Death series; murder, solid investigation, romance and Lt. Eve Dallas doing what she does best, finding justice for the dead.
I like Dina and Sean in the Innkeeper series, but they are seriously upstaged by big sister Maud and Arland, and of course, little Helen.
