The last Dragos/Pia story ever! My heart cries. They are one of my favorite couples.
This novella is a gift for the devoted fans. You have to be caught up with the series to read it without ruining the stories and if you haven’t read an Elder Races novel, this is not the place to start. It left me with many more questions than answers as to the future of the series.
We have been waiting from time for Graydon’s story but I was disappointed in the romance between him and Bel. Take note that When you grab your friends and go to war with a Djinn, there is not going to be a completely happy ending. The most important part of this story is the juxtaposition between Calondir/Ferion’s relationship and Drago/Liam’s relationship.
[box style=”rounded” border=”full”]This one was a bit of a nail-biter. Thea Harrison ratcheted up the tension on this one when Dragos get bitten by an infected Fae and Pia needed to decide between saving her husband or her unborn child. If you love the Elder Races series like I do, you know we can’t get enough of the First Family of the Wyr Demesne, Dragos, Pia and Liam. These novellas are a special treat for fans of the series.
I have been a long time fan of Thea Harrison’s Elder Races series, but the Nightkind King, Julian Regillus, was not among my favorite characters. He was mean and intimidating and never gave that “I’m a lovable vampire” vibe, but I love when an author can change my mind about a character and in this case, she did it without changing Julian at all.
On the run from her former employer, Tess knows that she’s vulnerable on her own amongst the Elder Races. That’s why she decides to audition to become the human attendant of a powerful Vampyre of the Nightkind demesne. But while her position affords her the safety she seeks, her protector turns out to be more […]
Dragos Cuelebre is no longer the only dragon. Dragos’s son Liam Cuelebre (a.k.a. Peanut) is springing into existence, reminiscent of the first of the Elder Races who were born at the beginning of the world. At just six months of age, he has already grown to the size of a large five-year-old boy. He can […]
In the latest story of the Elder Races, two mates face their deadliest challenge yet—each other… Pia and Dragos’s magical young son Liam (the Peanut), is growing at an unprecedented rate, and if that isn’t enough, he is also exhibiting new, and unpredictable, magical gifts. To protect him, the concerned parents decide to move to […]
